Early Times Report RS PURA, June 19: In celebration of Yoga Week on the occasion of International Yoga Day 2023, the NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College R. S. Pura conducted an Online Intercollegiate Essay Writing Competition on the theme "Humanity & Yoga." The event, held under the guidance of the esteemed Principal, Prof. Rajni Bhagat, and the supervision of Prof. Bindu Kumari, NSS Program Officer, witnessed active participation from numerous students representing various degree colleges. Participants shared their perspectives on the significance of Yoga for Humanity, emphasizing its role in fostering sustainability and global development. Roopa Devi, a fourth-semester student from Govt. Degree College Vijaynagar, emerged as the winner, securing the first prize. Wasim Akram, a sixth-semester student from Govt. Degree College Paloura, claimed the second prize, while Jasleen Kour, a fourth-semester student from Govt. Degree College R. S. Pura, secured the third prize. The essay submissions were evaluated by Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur, who served as the judge for the competition. The Principal of Govt. Degree College R. S. Pura commended the efforts of the NSS unit in organizing the event. He applauded the participants for their insightful essays and their dedication to promoting the principles of Yoga and its positive impact on humanity. |
