Harnessing Power of Breath: Sahib Bandgi's Teachings
6/25/2023 10:09:33 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 25: Renowned spiritual leader Sadhguru Madhupramhans Ji Maharaj of Sahib Bandgi, while addressing a gathering at Satwari Chowk School Ground, emphasized the significance of breath as a precious energy. He highlighted that breath holds immense importance, serving as the vital life force within our physical bodies, just as the sun energizes the Earth.
Sadhguru Maharaj emphasized that without the remembrance of the Divine, breath becomes empty and devoid of purpose. He compared controlling the breath to taming a strong horse or buffalo, requiring the reins of conscious effort. By aligning breath and consciousness, one can attain a higher state of connection.
Highlighting the practice of Surti Yoga, Sadhguru stressed the need to control and unite breath and consciousness. He emphasized that the entire process revolves around mastering the breath, enabling smooth control without additional struggle. By chanting a name or mantra, its form and qualities manifest within.
Drawing attention to the distractions of the wandering mind, Sadhguru questioned the effectiveness of chanting while the mind remains unfocused. He explained that the breath holds immense value, housing the essence of the self within. Just as rubbing flint stones produces sparks, consistent practice is needed to ignite the true power of Sumiran, or conscious remembrance.
In conclusion, Sadhguru Maharaj highlighted the importance of harnessing the power of breath through Surti Yoga, wherein the mind and breath work in tandem, allowing for profound spiritual growth and self-realization.
