Early Times Report JAMMU, June 27: The Department of Students Welfare and Health Centre at the University of Jammu organized a lecture and demonstration session on the topic "Exercises and Importance of Physiotherapy in the Management of Injuries." The resource person for the session was Dr. Amit Kumar, a specialist in Spine Neurology and Biomechanics from New Delhi. The event was felicitated by Prof. Prakash Antahal, Dean of Students Welfare, along with Prof. Monika Sethi, Chairperson of the Campus Cultural Committee, and Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Chief Medical Officer. Prof. Antahal highlighted the significance of such programs in promoting the wellbeing of students and employees, emphasizing the importance of exercises for physical fitness and mental alertness. Dr. Amit Kumar, a senior physiotherapist at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi, conducted an informative session, addressing the queries of the attendees and providing a live demonstration. The session included a demonstration of various exercises aimed at strengthening muscles, maintaining correct posture, and managing acute and chronic pains through physiotherapy techniques. Dr. Bharat Bhushan expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks. The session was attended by notable individuals, including Prof. K.S.
