| Crime review meeting of EOW-CB Jammu held for first half of 2023 | | |

JAMMU, July 8: Shailender Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Crime Branch Jammu, presided over a Crime Review Meeting at the Zonal Headquarters of EOW Jammu. The purpose of the meeting was to assess the performance and progress of investigations in economic offenses during the first two quarters of the current year, i.e., January to June 2023. The meeting was attended by all Investigating Officers, Prosecutors, and relevant staff of EOW CB Jammu, both in-person and through online participation.
The meeting primarily focused on evaluating the investigative activities and measures to expedite the foolproof investigation of cases and preliminary verifications based on merit.
Through thorough interactions and deliberations, the participants received appropriate instructions and guidance from SSP Shailender Singh.
The key emphasis of the meeting was placed on ensuring the collection of substantial evidence through professional and well-coordinated investigations.
The aim is to ensure the delivery of justice to the aggrieved parties, as EOW CB Jammu plays a crucial role as a premier investigating agency within the criminal justice system of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Investigating Officers were urged to put in extra efforts to expedite the investigation process without compromising on the quality of evidence. They were directed to focus on achieving the targets and delivering justice to the aggrieved parties for the remaining two quarters of the current year.
By conducting such Crime Review Meetings, EOW CB Jammu aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of its investigations and contribute to a fair and robust criminal justice system in the region. |
