Samba Administration convenes public outreach camp at Panchayat Bagla Jakh

SAMBA, July 12: The District Administration Samba today convened a Block Diwas public outreach camp at Panchayat Bagla Jakh to assess the local issues and listen to the grievances of the people and resolve the same with the intervention of the concerned officers and the representatives of Panchayati Raj institutions.
Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhieshak Sharma and a team of senior functionaries listened to the issues of the locals.
Sarpanch Ramesh Chand, in his opening remarks, lauded the arrangements made by District Administration Samba for the Amarnath Yatris.
Furthermore, he also appreciated the functioning of different departments such as PDD, Health etc. for the welfare of the citizens.
Several issues including release of land compensation, issuance of building permissions and improvement of drainage system were also raised during the event. The people of the area also sought augmentation of basic amenities such as adequate power supply, portable water, healthcare, education, and road connectivity etc.
After listening to the locals, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departmental heads to resolve the issues expeditiously and submit the action taken report before the next scheduled Block Diwas. It was apprised by the chair that the compensation to the tune of Rs 11 crore has been disbursed to the land owners till date and remaining claims will be cleared in a time bound manner.
Responding to the public demands, the DC said that the Block Diwas initiative endeavors to establish direct contact with the people, to attentively listen to their grievances and resolve the same in a coordinated and efficient manner.
He emphasized the importance of prioritizing the grievances and ensuring their redressal within specified timelines.
Furthermore, the DC directed the concerned Block Development Officer (BDO) to ensure the inclusive participation of every individual in the planning process for the development of the Block. .
Prominent attendees at the event included SDM, Dr. Rajesh Kumar; ACD, Siddharth Dhiman; District Mineral Officer, Mohammad Sayeed; Chief Medical Officer Dr Vidhi Bhutyal; Executive Engineers PWD, PHE, R&B, officers, District Social Welfare Officer, District Information Officer, Tehsildar, Block Development Officer, Officers from Agriculture, Sericulture, Husbandry, Fisheries, members of the PRIs and district and sectoral officers.
