Samba police arrest 4 house owners, register 4 FIRs | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, July 14: In a stern action taken by the Samba Police under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba Benam Tosh, four house owners were arrested and four FIRs were registered for failing to provide mandatory information regarding their tenants to the concerned Police Station, in direct disobedience of the District Magistrate's order. The arrested individuals have been identified as Ghulam Nabi, Maqbool Hussain, Abdul Rashid, and Tarvinder Singh. They have been booked under FIR No. 173/2023, FIR No. 174/2023, FIR No. 175/2023, and FIR No. 177/2023, respectively, all under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The cases have been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana. The arrests were carried out by a team led by SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana, Sunil Sharma, under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar, and Addl. SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary. SSP Samba Benam Tosh has urged all house owners, business/industrial establishments, premises, construction companies, and jhuggi (shanty) owners to promptly provide mandatory information about their tenants, outsider workers, domestic helpers, and guests to the concerned police stations. The information should be submitted on a declaration form duly signed by both the owner and the tenant, in accordance with the order issued by the District Magistrate of Samba under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). Failure to comply with this requirement may result in legal action under Section 188 of the IPC. This strict action by the Samba Police aims to ensure compliance with the District Magistrate's order and enhance the safety and security of the local community. It serves as a reminder to all property owners to fulfill their legal obligations by providing accurate and timely information about their tenants to the authorities. |
