AGENCIES SHIMLA, July 14: Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN, announced today that SJVN will contribute an amount of Rs. 2,00,00,000 (Two Crore rupees) to the H.P. Chief Minister Relief Fund. Nand Lal Sharma stated that the financial assistance from SJVN will aid the people affected by heavy rainfall and floods that have recently impacted various parts of Himachal Pradesh. The torrential rains and cloud bursts have caused flooding, landslides, and infrastructure damage, severely affecting the access to basic amenities in the affected areas. Nand Lal Sharma affirmed that SJVN will always be at the forefront in supporting the government's relief efforts. He expressed solidarity and support to the ongoing relief and rehabilitation measures being undertaken. The funds contributed by SJVN are expected to assist the affected individuals in rebuilding their lives in the aftermath of the devastating floods. Sharma also urged everyone to generously contribute towards helping those in need to overcome this calamity. Sharma expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and property resulting from landslides and flash floods. Previously, the employees of SJVN voluntarily donated their one-day salary, amounting to approximately Rs. 55,00,000 (Fifty-Five Lakh rupees), to the CM Relief Fund. SJVN's contribution to the HP CM Relief Fund reflects the company's commitment to stand by the people of Himachal Pradesh during this challenging time and provide support in relief and rehabilitation efforts.
