Security arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra reviewed by ADGP Railways J&K | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 14: Sunil Kumar, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Railways J&K, chaired a meeting at the office chambers of SSP Railways Jammu to discuss and review the security arrangements for the upcoming Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra-2023. The meeting was attended by Mohan Lal Kaith, SSP Railways Jammu, and other senior officers from GRP Jammu. During the meeting, ADGP Railways emphasized the need to intensify patrolling on the railway tracks and strengthen security deployment at Jammu Railway Station. He informed the officers about the expected accumulation of passengers at the station due to the cancellation of trains, as many passengers may choose to temporarily stay at Jammu Railway Station until the train services are fully operational again. ADGP Railways stressed the importance of making the public address system more effective, especially within the platform area. After the meeting, ADGP Railways conducted a round of Jammu Railway Station to inspect the security deployment. He instructed the officers to sensitively handle elderly passengers and provide them with all necessary assistance. ADGP Railways also visited the help desk established by GRP Jammu at the railway station. Additionally, he held a meeting with senior officers from the Railway department to discuss various security-related issues concerning the railways. The review meeting and subsequent inspections by ADGP Railways reflect the commitment of the police department to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims participating in the Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra-2023. |
