Jammu Police seizes 14 vehicles involved in illegal mining | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 14: Jammu Police has taken a strong stand against the issue of illegal mining, and in a coordinated effort, police teams from various stations including PS Nagrota, PS Miran Sahib, PS Akhnoor, PP Rehari, PP Chatha, and PP Phallian Mandal, conducted raids based on specific information. As a result, they were able to seize a total of 14 vehicles that were involved in illegal mining. The details of the seized vehicles are as follows: • PS Nagrota: Two tractor trollies without registration numbers, one dumper with registration number JK21J0857, and one tipper with registration number JK02CX3431. • PS Miran Sahib: One tractor with registration number JK02AX1018. • PS Akhnoor: One tipper with registration number JK02CC9723. • PP Rehari: One dumper with registration number JK02C7295. • PP Chatha: One excavator without registration number and one dumper with registration number JK02BB-8101. • PP Phallian Mandal: One JCB without registration number and three tractor trollies without registration numbers. The respective Station House Officers and In-Charges of the police stations and police posts were responsible for the recoveries in their jurisdictions. The District Mining Officer (DMO) Jammu was also informed about the seizures. It is important to note that the mining activities carried out by these vehicles were in direct violation of the orders issued by the Hon'ble High Court of Jammu and Kashmir. In order to strictly enforce the drive against illegal mining and to take strong action against those who violate the law, Jammu Police has taken these necessary steps. |
