6727 kgs of seized drugs destroyed in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 17 : In a significant move to combat drug abuse in India, a nationwide campaign on the destruction of seized drugs was recently held in Jammu, under the leadership of the Union Home Minister. The campaign, known as “Nasha Mukt Bharat” (Drug-Free India), aimed to eradicate the presence of drugs in the country. A total of 6727 kilograms of seized drugs were destroyed during the operation. The destruction process was carried out in accordance with the established legal procedures. The campaign in Jammu was led by Sh. Mukesh Singh, the Additional Director General of Police for the Jammu Zone, who worked alongside officers from the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), and the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Expressing gratitude, ADGP Jammu acknowledged the whole-hearted support received from the judiciary, which played an instrumental role in the success of the campaign. This concerted effort aims to create a drug-free environment and protect the well-being of the citizens of India. |
