Police seize 30 bottles of illicit liquor, arrest bootlegger in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 18: A successful operation conducted by a police team from PP Phallain Mandal, under the leadership of SDPO South Sachit Sharma, resulted in the recovery of 30 bottles of illicit liquor. The operation was assisted by SHO PS Satwari Inspr Sumeet Sharma and I/C PP Phallain Mandal PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal. During a routine naka duty at Haripur on Ringroad, the team apprehended a suspicious individual identified as Devi Dass, son of Madan Lal and resident of Malkechak. A thorough search of his person led to the discovery of 30 bottles of 180 ml each of illicit liquor, specifically JK Whiskey. In response to this discovery, a case has been registered under Sections 48(a) and 48-f of the Excise Act at PP Phallain Mandal, and the accused has been arrested. The investigation into the case is currently ongoing as authorities seek to gather more information and ensure that all relevant details are uncovered.
