Dignitaries laud services of SAYWS langar, interact with pilgrims | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 29: Varinder Manyal, General Manager DIC Jammu, Mohd. Iqbal Pala, Deputy Drug Controller, Amit Gupta, Drug Inspector, and Sh. Rajinder Parsadh Ji, Sr. Vice President Jammu Chemist Association, paid a visit to the langar of Shri Amarnathji Yatra Welfare Society (SAYWS). The langar, which has been relocated from Saraswati Dham to TRC counter at the Railway Station, continues to serve the pilgrims with utmost dedication. During their visit, the dignitaries interacted with the pilgrims and assessed the facilities provided to them. In a heartwarming gesture, they actively participated in serving langar to the pilgrims and expressed appreciation for the services being offered by SAYWS. In a show of gratitude, the office bearers of SAYWS honored all the dignitaries. The visiting guests also praised the langar committee for their tireless efforts in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the provision of packaged drinking water bottles to the pilgrims. The langar is dedicated to serving Pure Dogri food and has been running continuously for 31 days, successfully catering to approximately 3,000 to 4,000 pilgrims daily. Kiran Wattal, President of SAYWS, thanked all the guests for their visit and provided an overview of the society's various activities. Anil Gupta, Senior Vice President of SAYWS, emphasized the importance of adhering to the guidelines issued by the administration and encouraged the pilgrims to carry the message of peace and the hospitality of the people of Jammu back to their homes. He expressed gratitude to the administration and police personnel for their round-the-clock services to the pilgrims. Additionally, he extended thanks to the media for providing timely information to the pilgrims, facilitating a smooth and safe pilgrimage. Anil Gupta highlighted that SAYWS solely runs the langar with the support of its dedicated office bearers, without relying on any external contributions. The society's commitment to providing essential services and sustenance to the pilgrims during the holy Yatra has been commendable and well-received. The event saw the presence of prominent attendees, including SAYWS General Secretary, Prem Sharma, Kamal Ganjoo, Ashok Sharma, and others. The dignitaries' visit and interaction with the Yatries have further encouraged the spirit of hospitality and selfless service exhibited by SAYWS during the revered Shri Amarnathji Yatra. |
