NEW DELHI, July 30: As the National Education Policy (NEP) completes three years, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan highlights the policy's core focus on providing education in students' mother tongues. The 'Gyan Kumbh' exhibition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across the country, showcasing the NEP's commitment to promoting education in local languages.
In connection with the NEP's anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 'Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam' at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, where he interacted with children and adults, observing their innovative projects, as reported by ANI.
Addressing the gathering at the educational convention, PM Modi underscored the transformative role of the National Education Policy in shaping India's future in the 21st century. He emphasized that education is a powerful tool to change the nation's destiny and achieve its goals. The Prime Minister stressed the injustice of judging young individuals based on their language rather than their talents, reiterating the NEP's commitment to nurturing the youth and preparing them to lead the nation during Amrit Kaal.
The 'Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam,' spanning two days on July 29-30, brings together academics, policymakers, industry representatives, teachers, and students from various educational institutions. They share insights, success stories, and best practices for implementing the NEP 2020 while formulating strategies for its further advancement. The convention features sixteen sessions covering topics like access to Quality Education and Governance, Equitable and Inclusive Education, Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups, National Institute Ranking Framework, the Indian Knowledge System, Internationalization of Education, among others. The event serves as a crucial platform for advancing India's education landscape and empowering its future leaders.
