Reasi police cracks theft case within hours, recovers stolen property worth lakhs

Reasi, July 31: Reasi Police has swiftly solved a theft case that occurred at Trintha, recovering the stolen property and arresting the culprits within just a few hours of the incident.
The incident was reported by Shabir Gorsi, a resident of Trintha, who stated that upon returning home with his family on 29th July 2023, they found that the locks of their house had been broken, and valuable items like a golden chain, two golden bangles, and a Vivo mobile phone were stolen.
Acting promptly, Reasi Police formed a team led by SHO Reasi Vijay Sharma under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Reasi Neeraj Kumar- JKPS. The team conducted thorough searches in various areas of Reasi town and activated their sources to track down the thieves.
Based on the information gathered, the police arrested Shaheen Parvaiz Magray and Manik Sharma, both residents of Trintha.
As a result of their disclosures, the stolen golden chain, bangles, and mobile phone were recovered from their possession.
A case was registered at P/S Reasi under relevant sections of the IPC, and investigations are ongoing. Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, Sh. Amit Gupta-JKPS, stated that they are continuing their investigations to uncover any connections the arrested individuals may have with other theft cases in the district. Further arrests and recoveries have not been ruled out.
Reasi Police’s swift and efficient action in resolving the case showcases their dedication to maintaining law and order in the region and ensuring the safety and security of its residents.
