POWERGRID facilitates MSEs at vendor development programme | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 3: POWERGRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED (POWERGRID), Northern Region-II, recently conducted a Vendor Development Programme/ Buyer-Seller Meet for Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) at the Sher I Kashmir International Convention Centre in Srinagar. The event aimed to promote and encourage the participation of MSEs in POWERGRID's procurement processes. In collaboration with the Branch MSME Development and Facilitation Office, Srinagar, the programme witnessed the active participation of senior officials from POWERGRID's Northern Region-II. Led by Rajesh Kumar, the Executive Director, the delegation included Anil Sharma, CGM(Projects), Shafat Ahmad Wani, Sr. GM(Ladakh & Kashmir), Arshad Iqbal, Sr. GM (C&M), K V Sampath Kumar, Sr. GM(Finance), Vinod P Baxla, GM (HR), and Amit Patel, Sr. DGM (C&M). The event also welcomed Saheel Alaqaband, Asst. Director from the Branch MSME Development and Facilitation Office, Srinagar. During his key note address, Rajesh Kumar urged the MSME vendors to actively partner with POWERGRID in nation-building endeavors. He emphasized that the primary purpose of this programme was to raise awareness and facilitate their participation in various tenders floated by POWERGRID. The event featured discussions on various beneficial schemes offered by the Government of India (GoI) and Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs). Participants showed keen interest and raised queries related to registration on the GeM portal, POWERGRID PRANIT portal, quality assessment, benefits extended to MSME vendors, and business prospects for participating in POWERGRID tenders. Approximately 60 MSME vendors from the Kashmir valley actively participated in the Vendor Development Programme. The interactive session received positive feedback from the attendees, who appreciated POWERGRID for organizing such an initiative.
