'Meri Maati, Mera Desh': Nehru Yuva Kendra organizes multiple events in Kathua

JAMMU, Aug 11: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua is vigorously organizing various programmes of Meri Maati, Mera Desh….. on theme "Mitti Ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan" Campaign in district Kathua in coordination and collaboration with Education Department, Panchayats, Youth Clubs.
Today on 11.08 2023, NYK Kathua organized "Meri Maati, Mera Desh….. on theme "Mitti Ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan" programme at Panchayat Phalote A. And NYK Youth Volunteers organized MMMD Programmes at Jankhar-Dhar Mahanpur, GDC Mahanpur, Baorah-Duggan, Marhoon- Baggan, Nagri Parole, Plassi Basohali, Baddu- Billawar, Sheetal Ngar etc. Col. ( Retd.) Chahal, Zilla Sainik Welfare Board, Kathua was Chief Guest, in his address he paid Rich Tributes to our brave hearts Martyr who made supreme sacrifices to safeguard the nation, remembered the sacrifices of our great freedom. He stressed that it is the duty of all citizens of India to play active role in security, peace, prosperity, harmony, nation integration. PM of India has given 140 crore Indian - Panch Pran -vision and mission India@ 2047, so we all should make effort to realize this mission and he administered the pledge on Panch Pran.
On the occasion our brave heart Veteran Solders Kargil Worrier- Subedar ( Retd) Narinder Singh Punia, ( 13 JAK RIF ) who showed bravery in Kargil Vijay Operation in 1999 and also participate in UNO Peace Keeping Mission in Ethiopia & Eritrea was honored. Hav. (Retd) Mul Raj Sharma, Punjab Regiment who took active part in Sri Lanka Peace Keeping mission and Sub. Maj. ( Rtd) Kuldeep Singh Punia AOC were honored and expressed that nation will always indebted for your services.
Som Datt Zard, Deputy Director briefed about the mission objective of the MMMD nationwide campaign of Govt. of India to remember the sacrifices by our freedom fighters, martyrs, honored to our valor solders of defense, police and Central Armed Police for their dedicated duties to the nation.
From the sacrifices and duties of our freedom fighters, martyrs & solders, our young generation must be guided and inspired and inculcate the spirit of patriotism.
Devinder Kumar Sarpanch also paid tributes and took pledge to work for the development of village and Nation, besides various prominent persons also attend the programme.
