| GDC Batote organizes 'Veron ko Naman' programme | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 11: As a part of the campaign "Meri Maati Mera Desh" GDC Batote organized 'Veron ko Naman' to pay tribute to the brave hearts on the eve of celebration of 77 th Independence Day. The guests were formally welcomed by the principal of college, Prof. Nirlape Kour. Martyr Hav Sarup Singh sacrificed his life for the nation during 1962 Indo-China War. To commemorate his ultimate sacrifice, his son Amrik Singh was invited to receive a token of honour from the principal, the staff and the students of GDC Batote. SHO Batote Rakesh Khajuria was also invited to receive a trophy for his relentless dedication and exemplary passion with which he is serving the society. Company Commander Army Patnitop Airforce Unit, Navdeep Sharma was also invited to receive a trophy for his unremitting services for the nation. The President Municipal Committee Batote, Ravinder Singh was also invited to receive a token of love from the college. Prof. Ashaq Hussain presented the vote of thanks. The event was coordinated and managed by the organizing committee comprising of Dr. Om Raj Kaotch, Prof. Ashaq Hussain Parray, Dr. Mohd Abbas Wani and Dr. Sunil Kumar. |
