BATOTE, Aug 12: In a heartfelt tribute to the valiant freedom fighters who paved the way for India's independence, Government Degree College (GDC) Batote orchestrated a captivating slogan writing and painting competition under the banner of the "Meri Maati Mera Desh" campaign. The event, held on the 12th of August, 2023, provided a platform for approximately 30 enthusiastic students to express their reverence for the heroes who selflessly laid down their lives for the nation's freedom.
The competition resonated with the intention of artistically honoring the memories of these revered freedom fighters, whose sacrifices continue to inspire generations. The participants poured their hearts into crafting slogans and creating paintings that vividly captured the essence of the freedom struggle and the indomitable spirit of those who led it.
Under the visionary leadership of the college's Principal, Prof. Nirlape Kour, the event took on a meaningful significance. Prof. Kour commended the participants for channeling their patriotism through their artistic abilities, noting that such initiatives play a crucial role in nurturing a deep sense of appreciation for the nation's history and its freedom fighters.
The organizing committee, comprising Dr. Om Raj Katoch, Prof. Ashaq Hussain Parray, Dr. Mohd Abbas Wani, and Dr. Sunil Kumar, worked diligently to ensure the smooth execution of the event. Their collective efforts ensured that the competition served its purpose of paying tribute to the heroic souls who fought relentlessly for India's sovereignty.
Witnessing the students immerse themselves in drawing the sketches of the nation's beloved freedom fighters was nothing short of a visual delight. The event not only allowed these young minds to showcase their artistic talents but also facilitated a profound connection with the nation's history and the sacrifices that paved the way for the India we know today.
Through the amalgamation of art and history, GDC Batote not only celebrated the legacy of freedom fighters but also nurtured a deep sense of patriotism among the youth, reminding them of the nation's enduring journey towards independence.
