Early Times Report RAJOURI, Aug 12: The Red Ribbon Club of Govt. P.G. College, Rajouri, in collaboration with the NSS Unit and J&K AIDS Control Society, orchestrated a full-day program as part of the Azadika Amrutav Mahotsav to celebrate International Youth Day. The event was skillfully organized by Dr. Naseem Ahmed and Prof. Supriya Gupta, Nodal Officers of the Red Ribbon Club. The program was graced by the presence of the college's Principal, Dr. Shamim Ahmed Azad. The chosen theme for the event, "Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World," resonated with the spirit of the day. Extempore speeches on the theme were the highlight, with students participating fervently. The event also featured a poster competition. Sheraz Ahmed, Ibrar Ahmed, Mohd Mushtaq, Mehreen Sambyal, Asreen Mirza, Sofia Kouser, Ayat Parveen, Ajmal Nisar, and Mohd Asif were recognized for their exceptional performances in the extempore speech category. Additionally, Sadia Shabir, Tehseen Raza, Rozia Tabassum, Nayeema Saira, and Nazish Malik were awarded certificates for their commendable poster designs. Dr. Shamim Ahmed Azad, the college's Principal, shed light on the significance of the day and highlighted how celebrations inspire youth across the globe to raise awareness about issues affecting them. Dr. Bashir Ahmed, Prof. Mohd Sadeeq, Dr. Saleem Wani, and Prof. Asif Ajaz Lone graced the event with their presence. Dr. Shamim Akhter, NSS Programme Officer (Girls Wing), expressed gratitude with a vote of thanks.
