Samba, Aug 14: In a significant breakthrough, Samba Police, under the direct supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Benam Tosh, successfully apprehended seven miscreants linked to an attempted murder case in Vijaypur, where two individuals had suffered severe injuries due to sharp-edged weapons. The arrested individuals have been identified as: Shiva Kumar, son of Suraj Kumar, resident of Kun Railway Road Katra, District Reasi Sahil Mir, son of Anwer Mir, resident of Railway Road Katra, District Reasi Ravi, son of Suraj Kumar, resident of Katra, Reasi (currently residing in Shivnagar, Vijaypur, Samba) Manik Sharma, son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Majitha, Amritsar, Punjab Sikander Kumar, son of Ram Langa, resident of Masooda Mandi, Jalandhar, Punjab Sanju, son of Vishal Kumar, resident of Ladgar, Amritsar, Punjab Jatin Singh, son of Suraj Kumar, resident of Bopali, District Panipat, Haryana The arrests were made in connection with an attempt to murder case (FIR No. 107/2023) registered at Police Station Vijaypur. The case involves charges under sections 307, 341, 323, 147, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, along with Section 4/25 of the Arms Act. The investigation into the case is currently underway. Following the apprehension of the seven accused individuals, the police managed to recover the sharp-edged weapons used in the violent attack. The weapons were seized from the possession of the miscreants. The police team, led by SHO Police Station Vijaypur, Tribhawan Khajuria, operated under the guidance of SDPO Vijaypur, Rohit Kumar, and Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary, to successfully arrest the suspects involved in the incident. This swift action by the police underscores their commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of the public. |
