Early Times Report SAMBA, Aug 17: The relentless drive against illegal mining in Samba district has gained further momentum as Samba Police continues its unwavering crackdown. Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh, directed this rigorous effort, resulting in the seizure of seven additional vehicles, including an excavator, which were being utilized for illegal mining activities. Under the vigilant supervision of DySP Garu Ram, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar, and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, police teams led by SHO Police Station Samba, Rajeshwar Singh, and SHO Police Station Vijaypur, Tribhawan Khajuria, executed the operation at various locations across the district. The seized vehicles comprise one JCB excavator without registration, five dumpers bearing registration numbers JK21G-7098, JK21H-0430, JK21H-6739, JK02CT-4277, and JK21G-0372, along with one tractor trolley with registration number JK21G-5583. Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh, emphasized that this action marks the culmination of sustained efforts to curb illegal mining. In the past seven months, Samba Police has seized a total of 116 vehicles associated with illegal mining activities. The crackdown reflects the police's unswerving commitment to eradicating illegal mining and upholding the law.
