Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 17: Senior National Conference leader and former Minister, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, visited the Bhagwan Shiv Mandir Karwanda today to pay his respects and offer prayers for universal peace, brotherhood, and harmony, which are the core principles of Sanatan Dharma.
Addressing the gathering of devotees who had congregated in large numbers to participate in special Pujas during the ongoing Shravan Month, Sadhotra emphasized the significance of devotion to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati in bringing about a sense of inner peace and leading society towards spiritual elevation.
Sadhotra urged individuals to embrace the spirit of humanism, which is inherent in all religions and plays a crucial role in fostering an environment of understanding and compassion. He stressed that by adopting this spirit, society can overcome hatred, animosity, and bitterness, contributing to a better world for everyone.
He underlined the rich heritage of inclusiveness in the country and highlighted the importance of preserving and passing down this legacy. Sadhotra called on the devotees to spread messages of love, peace, and compassion, essential for national integration and inclusivity in Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed hope that collective efforts will contribute to the growth of a classless society based on principles of social justice.
Sadhotra also emphasized the need to promote togetherness, especially at a time when society is grappling with negativity and tension. He urged people to seek solace in the divine and work towards nurturing a sense of brotherhood.
Pandit Sonu Sharma Shastri, another speaker at the congregation, reiterated the importance of seeking blessings from Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati for peace and prosperity.
