CBC holds outreach program on "9 Years: Seva, Sushasan, Garib Kalyan" in Nubra valley | | | Early Times Report DISKIT (NUBRA), Aug 17: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, orchestrated a comprehensive one-day outreach program at Govt Higher Secondary School, Diskit in the picturesque Nubra valley. Themed "9 Years: Seva, Sushasan aur Garib Kalyan," the program was diligently organized by CBC's Field Office, Leh. The event aimed to illuminate India's remarkable accomplishments across diverse fields during the past nine years. Through informative standees, expert lectures, and printed awareness materials, the program effectively communicated information about various public welfare schemes, especially those targeted towards the upliftment of tribal and other vulnerable segments of the population. Tsering Angchuk, Deputy Chairman of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his presidential address, Angchuk lauded CBC for extending the message of development to remote corners such as Nubra. Addressing a diverse audience including officers from sub-divisional administration, teachers, and students, he emphasized how welfare schemes like PMGKAY, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Mudra Yojana, and Ayushman Bharat have brought about transformative changes across India, including Ladakh. He stressed the importance of raising awareness about these schemes to uplift marginalized communities, and also highlighted the achievements of both the Indian government and LAHDC, Leh during the last nine years of governance focused on Seva (Service), Sushasan (Good Governance), and Garib Kalyan (Welfare of the Poor). Shahid Mohammad Lone, the Field Publicity Officer of CBC, provided an in-depth overview of CBC's mandate and activities in his welcome address. He highlighted the significance of mass awareness to ensure the effective execution of various welfare schemes. Lone expressed gratitude towards the sub-divisional administration of Nubra and the district administration of Leh for their support and coordination in making the program a success. Prior to the main event, an engaging open quiz competition was held for the students of Government Degree College, Nubra, and Government Higher Secondary School, Diskit. Other notable speakers at the event included Tashi Jorgais, Tehsildar of Diskit, Sonam Stobdan, Zonal Education Officer of Nubra, and Sonam Rinchen, Vice-Principal of GHSS Diskit. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the teaching staff and students of GDC Nubra. |
