Srinagar, Aug 17: The Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Omar Abdullah, affirmed that the endeavors to erase the name and legacy of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah have consistently been thwarted by the people of J&K. Speaking at a party event held at Nawa E Subah, Omar stated, “Our adversaries have consistently attempted to remove the plough flag from J&K, but there’s something that, despite their persistent efforts, our party stands unwavering, and even today, people are eager to connect with this organization. The symbol of the plough and the name of Sheikh Sahib are etched forever in the hearts of the people. Our party has weathered the toughest of times with the unwavering support of our people, who have democratically defeated such nefarious conspiracies at the ballot box.” During the event, he warmly welcomed approximately 150 young political and social workers from Duroo Shahabad, affiliated with Apni Party, into the J&K National Conference.
