Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 18: The 36th Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) meeting of DTNBWED (Dattopant Thengadi National Board for Workers Education and Development), Jammu, was successfully conducted with participation from various stakeholders. The meeting was chaired by Sh. Chanan Singh Toor, Chairman of RAC, DTNBWED, and General Secretary of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, UT of J&K. During the meeting, Chanan Singh Toor highlighted the significance of the board's work in the upliftment and education of workers. He emphasized that the board, which was renamed in 2016 in honor of the visionary leader Late Sh. Dattopant Thengadi ji, continues to inspire and contribute to the welfare and development of workers across the country. The meeting served as a platform for a constructive discussion among the RAC members on the effective implementation of the Government of India's Workers Education Scheme in the Union Territories of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. Notable attendees included representatives from government institutions, central organizations of employers, and trade unions. Among those present were Dr. Pankaj Kr. Rastogi, Regional Director I/c, DTNBWED, Jammu, Dr. Rajinder Peshin, Professor, Extension Education, SKUAST, Jammu, Ashok Kr. Choudhary, Org. Secretary, Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, UT of J&K, and other esteemed members. Dr. Pankaj Kr. Rastogi, Member Secretary & Regional Director I/c, DTNBWED, Jammu, welcomed the attendees and provided insights into the activities of DTNBWED, Jammu. He also sought suggestions and cooperation from RAC members to enhance the Workers Education Scheme's implementation in the region. The participants appreciated the dedication and efforts of Dr. Pankaj Rastogi in his role as Regional Director. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Pankaj Kr. Rastogi, expressing gratitude to all participants, including dignitaries, senior officials from central and state government institutions, central organizations of employers, central trade unions, and media representatives of Jammu.
