| Lecture, interactive session on countering drug addiction by JU Department of Psychology | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 18: The Department of Psychology at the University of Jammu organized a highly informative lecture cum interactive session on August 18, 2023. The esteemed resource person for the event was Prof. Mamta Sharma from the Department of Psychology at Punjabi University, Patiala.
The session was initiated with a warm welcome by Prof. Sangita Gupta, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and In-Charge Head of the Department of Psychology. Prof. Gupta emphasized the critical role of psychologists in combatting drug addiction.
Prof. Mamta Sharma, an expert in drug addiction awareness, prevention, and student welfare, delivered an enlightening talk. She discussed the concept of "Nasha Mukht Mohalla" (Addiction-Free Community) and stressed the significance of creating environments free from the clutches of addiction.
