EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Aug 18: The Art of Living, founded by Padma Vibhushan Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, through its Jammu chapter, has organized The Happiness Programs across various locations in Jammu region. From Jammu to Kathua to Udhampur, hundreds of people from diverse backgrounds joined the happiness wave to learn techniques for leading a joyful, stress-free life during the week-long celebration of Happiness and Health Day.
Participants from various walks of life and different religious backgrounds joined the Happiness Programs conducted in ten different locations in Jammu region. These programs spanned over six days and saw active participation from youth, doctors, homemakers, IT professionals, educationists, businessmen, industrialists, government and private sector employees, and more. These programs aimed at connecting humanity through the power of breath, enabling individuals to attain and spread true happiness in their lives. The Happiness Programs were organized at several Art of Living centers, including Temple of Knowledge at Trikuta Nagar, Sri Sri Dhyanshala at Channi Himmat, Sri Sri Dhyankendra at Shakti Nagar, Sanskriti Bhawan at Roop Nagar, India Kids School Udhampur, and more. The dedicated teams of Art of Living searchers and volunteers led these sessions, guiding participants to understand the importance of happiness and stress-free living.
The workshops focused on a range of topics, including the importance of quality assurance in the digital era, the significance of values instilled during formative years, and the role of mentors in promoting a scientific approach among students. The program also highlighted the Sudarshan KriyaTM, a powerful rhythmic breathing technique that eliminates stress, fatigue, and negative emotions. Dr. Tilak Raj, Director and Head of Jammu & Kashmir Branch Office, BIS, stressed the importance of understanding standards and their role in maintaining quality. The training included technical lectures, demonstrations of BIS portals, and interactive sessions on various aspects of standards and quality.
Participants shared their experiences of feeling more relaxed, optimistic, and joyful after attending the programs.
The cornerstone of the Happiness Program was the Sudarshan KriyaTM, which aimed to reduce stress, improve immune cell counts, and enhance overall well-being.
The celebration of Anand Utsav through Happiness Programs marked a significant step in promoting positivity, happiness, and well-being in the lives of people across the Jammu region
