JAMMU, Aug 19: Kyra Thakyal, a young prodigious talent hailing from Delhi Public School Jammu, has earned well-deserved recognition as the "Best Performer" in the Taekwondo Demonstration event held on the momentous occasion of Tuesday, 15th August, 2023, at the revered Maharaja Hari Singh Park, Jammu. This event was organized in celebration of the 77th Independence Day, and Kyra's exceptional skills and dedication shone brightly. A true testament to her remarkable talent, Kyra Thakyal, a student of Prep-C, showcased an outstanding performance that earned her the coveted title of "Best Performer." The event saw her exhibit her expertise in Taekwondo, captivating the audience with her skill and finesse. In recognition of her extraordinary accomplishment, Kyra was bestowed with a memento and a cash prize amounting to Rs. 1000/-. Kyra's prowess extends beyond this event, as she has previously displayed her prowess in the realm of Taekwondo. She had previously secured a gold and silver medal in the U-15 kg weight group within the sub-junior girls category at the 1st Open National Taekwondo Championship-2023. Additionally, she clinched a gold medal at the 3rd National Taekwondo Championship and a silver medal at the 2nd Indo-Nepal International Taekwondo Championship-2023, further solidifying her position as an emerging star in the field. The esteemed management of DPS Jammu, comprising the President-RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, PVC, Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh, Director, S.S Sodhi, and the Principal, Ruchi Chabra, extended their heartiest congratulations to Kyra. They also conveyed their best wishes for her future endeavors, acknowledging her exceptional achievements as an inspiration to her peers and the institution as a whole.
