According to Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, the case began on July 20, 2023, when a report was received from reliable sources at Police Post Rakh Amb Talli about the death of Bodh Raj, aged 52, who had been undergoing treatment at GMC as a poison case. He passed away at GMC Jammu, and his body was found in the mortuary room. An inquiry was initiated under section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of death.
