Early Times Report POONCH, Aug 19: A Multi-Media Exhibition organized by the Central Bureau of Communication in Poonch, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India (J&K, Ladakh), continues to draw attention and engagement from locals, students, teachers, officials, and various departments. The event, which focuses on celebrating 9 years of Seva, Sushasan aur Garib Kalyan (Service, Governance, and Welfare of the Poor), along with other initiatives like Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Mission LiFE, and G-20 Presidency, aims to inform visitors about the government's achievements and schemes. Sunil Sharma, President of the Municipality Committee in Poonch, expressed that the Indian government is dedicated to transforming the nation into a developed entity by focusing on the welfare and development of its citizens. He emphasized the implementation of various policies such as Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), Ujjwala, PKGKAY (Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana), Saubhagya Yojana, Har Ghar Jal, Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Stand Up India, Start Up India, Skill Development (Kaushal Vikas), and Mudra Loans, among others, that have made a significant positive impact on the lives of the people. He commended the role of the Central Bureau of Communication for spreading awareness in both urban and rural areas. Ghulam Abbas, Joint Director of CBC, J&K Ladakh, provided an overview of the Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) being conducted over three days. He highlighted how the government's policies and schemes cater to various stages of life, from prenatal care to old age, addressing different needs and challenges individuals may face. He encouraged the audience to share information about ICOP at the Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra Base camp and College ground in Poonch. The event featured expert lectures by Resource Persons from different government departments, including Employment, Education, Forest, Wildlife, and more. These lectures provided insights into the schemes and initiatives of their respective departments. Departmental stalls, exhibitions, cultural performances, and interactive activities such as open quizzes also contributed to the informative and engaging atmosphere of the exhibition. The local community of Poonch is urged to visit the exhibition, which is open from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and offers free entry.
