Amit leads Ladakh delegation in 26th National e-Governance Conference | | | Agencies
Indore, Aug 27, 2023 : Amit Sharma, Secretary Information Technology Department, Union Territory of Ladakh led a smart team of UT contingent at Annual 26th National e-Governance Conference held in Indore this time after it head held in J&K last year. This premier official e-Governance event of the nation is jointly organised by Department of Reforms and Public Grievances and Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India every year in different cities of the nation wherein top national e-Governance initiatives are awarded apart from sharing of best practices in the domain, apart from creating awareness about e-Governance amongst the masses. Secretary IT Ladakh Amit Sharma happened to meet top IT giants during this two-day event wherein he shared several IT initiatives taken in the UT like Online Centralized Grievance Portal for all departments, Implementation of e-Office, Online RTI filing while sharing the vision of Administration led by LG Brig Dr B.D Mishra, Retd and Advisor Dr Pawan Kotwal towards creating Public WiFi Zines, IT Park, doorstep delivery of public services, last mile connectivity through SWAN and several other initiatives being taken here. Amit Sharma, IT Secretary, who co-incidentally happens to be an alumni of IIM, Indore, having specialised in e-Governance domain from this premier institute of the nation, has recently contributed towards several successful e-Governance initiatives in UT of J&K while being IT Secretary and CEO, J&K e-Governance Agency there which include implementation of e-Office in J&K, helping in ending darbar move practice and making both Jammu & Srinagar Secretariats functional throughout the year, complete Digitization of Land Records, provisioning of Online Services to the Citizens in J&K. During his brief and meaningful interactions with Union IT Secretary Alkesh Kumar Sharma and CEO, National e-Governance Division Abhishek Singh, IT Secretary Ladakh Amit Sharma requested for provisioning of specialist staff in Ladakh UT to develop customised software solutions for the UT and creating critical IT infrastructure there which got an affirmative response from them. Apart from this, he requested Advisor, World Economic Forum and former Union IT Secretary J.Satyanarayan to mentor IT initiatives in Ladakh which he primarily agreed to. Several other leading IT companies and Start-Up firms expressed their keen interest to visit Ladakh and contribute which were welcomed by IT Secretary Amit Sharma and told his team to take a note of same. IT Secretary Amit Sharma, who led a small contingent of officials including two IT Managers Stanzin Dawa and Sajjad Hussain, did a commendable proactive networking job of connecting with lot of IT corporates who expressed their willingness to contribute towards holistic e-Governance goals for Ladakh UT in the times to come. |
