8/27/2023 11:06:34 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 27; The Director-General of Police Control Jammu (DGPC Jammu), along with representatives from various Sikh organizations in the region, held an urgent press conference expressing deep concern and anxiety over the prolonged disappearance of Engineer S Gurmeet Singh from Kanth Bagh Baramulla, Kashmir. Engineer S Gurmeet Singh has been missing under mysterious circumstances since the evening of August 25, and efforts to locate him have not yielded any results so far.
During the press conference, Vice President S Balvinder Singh and General Secretary S Surjit Singh appealed to the LG Administration of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (JK UT) as well as the Director-General of Police (DGP) of JK UT to intensify their efforts and resources to expedite the search for the missing engineer. They highlighted that the extended disappearance of Er S Gurmeet Singh has caused distress not only to his family but also to the entire minority community in JK UT.
Vice President S Balvinder Singh of DGPC Jammu pointed out that despite official claims of normalcy returning to the Kashmir Valley, the situation on the ground seems to tell a different story. The government's inability to locate an upstanding and honest officer, even after three days and with access to advanced technology including artificial intelligence, raises concerns about the actual state of affairs.
DGPC Jammu also called upon the civil society in Kashmir to come forward and provide any valuable leads that could aid in finding the missing engineer and promote a spirit of unity.
DGPC Jammu assured the Sikh community in Kashmir, particularly the family of Er Gurmeet Singh, that the entire Sikh society of Jammu Province stands in solidarity with them during this challenging time.
They pledged to provide all possible assistance to alleviate the family's suffering. The individuals present at the press conference expressed their solidarity with the missing engineer's family and urged community members to remain patient and pray for the safe return of Engineer S Gurmeet Singh.
Among those present at the press conference were S Avtar Singh Ji, a member of DGPC Jammu, S T P Singh, S Harmohinder Singh (President of Displaced Kashmiri Sikh Conference), S Surinder Singh Wazir, S Deedar Singh, S Janak Singh, S Attamjit Singh, and S Tejinder Singh Naib Sarpanch Chatha Farm.
