Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K Unit applauds Jammu's unity, pledges to persist in fight for people's cause | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 27: The Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K Unit has lauded the resolute unity exhibited by the people of Jammu in the face of adverse policies put forth by the current administration. The party commended the collective strength of the people and encouraged them to sustain their determination until the contentious issues of prepaid smart meters, property tax, and toll plaza are resolved. This declaration was made by Manish Sahni, President of Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K, during a press conference held at the party's state office. Sahni highlighted that the citizens of Jammu have been actively protesting against the implementation of prepaid smart meters, property taxes, and the Sarore Toll Plaza for several days. Discussing the demand for the removal of the toll plaza, Sahni noted that the Yuva Rajput Sabha, engaged in a peaceful demonstration against the Sarore Toll Plaza, had been apprehended by the authorities. After being held in custody for a span of four days, the administration eventually released the protestors today. Sahni interpreted this as the initial victory for the united stance taken by the people of Jammu. Emphasizing that the battle is far from concluded, Sahni reassured the residents of Jammu that the fight to liberate the region from toll plazas and property taxes, while advocating for free electricity, water, addressing rising unemployment, inflation, drug addiction, and crime, will persist. Sahni earnestly appealed to the public to maintain their solidarity and extend their support to the Shiv Sena. He called for unity in ensuring the success of the party's ongoing campaign in the forthcoming days. The party remains committed to championing the interests of the people and continuing their advocacy for a better quality of life in Jammu and Kashmir. |
