JAMMU, Aug 28: The halls of S.D Tara Puri Public High School resonated with intellectual fervor as an inspiring Inter House Debate competition unfolded on September 28, 2023. The event, dedicated to the memory of the revered Pt. Ram Krishan Sharma, Retd. Principal, marked an occasion to celebrate his enduring impact on the school community. Distinguished figures, including M.L Sharma, Retd. Principal and Vice President of the school's management committee, along with N.D Sharma, Retd. Z.E.O and School Secretary, graced the event as esteemed judges. The competition's focus was on the 'New Education Policy,' a topic that prompted thought-provoking discussions among the participants. A total of 16 students, with representation from each house, passionately engaged in the competition. Their enthusiasm was palpable as they delved into comprehensive explanations of the New Education Policy. The discourse was not only intellectually stimulating but also highly beneficial for the students, enriching their understanding of the topic. At the end of the competition, the coveted rolling trophy was secured by Vivekanand House, showcasing their eloquence and command over the subject matter. The victory celebrated the dedication and hard work of both the students and their teachers. M.L Sharma, Vice President, N.D Sharma, Secretary, and School Principal Neeru Puri expressed their admiration for the participants' efforts. They also extended their heartfelt congratulations to the winning house, its teachers, and students. The event not only celebrated intellectual prowess but also embodied the values that Pt. Ram Krishan Sharma instilled in the school's community during his tenure. The Inter House Debate Competition not only offered a platform for students to articulate their thoughts but also paid homage to a visionary leader who continues to influence the institution's ethos.
