Samba, Aug 29: In a significant development, Samba Police, under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Benam Tosh, has filed a chargesheet in the court against criminal “Parveen Kumar” of Mananu, Samba, in an attempted murder case that was registered at Police Station Samba in 2020. The incident involved a written complaint lodged by Krishan Lal, a resident of Mananu, tehsil and district Samba, stating that on July 20, 2020, his brother Sukhdev Raj was wrongfully restrained and attacked with a sharp-edged weapon by Parveen Kumar. The attack, with the intent to kill, resulted in severe injuries to Sukhdev Raj’s head and arms. The victim was promptly taken to District Hospital Samba for medical treatment. Following the complaint, a case (FIR No. 189/2020) was registered at Police Station Samba, under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act. The accused, Parveen Kumar, was apprehended by the police, and a thorough investigation commenced. Upon the completion of the investigation, the police filed a chargesheet in the case, citing the proven offenses against Parveen Kumar. The chargesheet was submitted to the court of Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Samba for further legal proceedings. The investigation was overseen by SHO Police Station Samba Rajeshwar Singh, DySP Garu Ram, and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. Senior Superintendent of Police Benam Tosh has directed the Samba Police to prioritize the disposal of pending cases with a professional approach. This commitment has led to the apprehension of culprits who were evading arrests, and successful raids at suspected hideouts have been conducted to ensure justice is served promptly. |
