Jammu, Aug 29: In accordance with the directives of President Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K, Ravinder Raina, Rekha Mahajan, BJP District President Jammu South, organized a meeting to discuss the “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign as part of the “Azadi Amrit Mahotsav” initiative. The campaign, taking place across Jammu South, is an endeavor of the BJP-led government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting, held at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar Jammu, was chaired by BJP’s organizational general secretary, Ashok Koul. Esteemed personalities like former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta, Former Minister Sham Choudhary, Deputy Mayor Baldev Billowaria, and other party officials attended the meeting. Addressing the gathering, Ashok Koul emphasized that the “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign is designed to uplift the spirits of our soldiers. He outlined the various programs to be conducted under the campaign across J&K. The first phase, focusing on urban and rural areas of District Jammu South, is set to begin on September 1 and conclude on September 15. Koul highlighted the significance of the “five vows” (Panch Pran) collective program and mentioned the second phase at the block level, “Matti ko Vandan,” which is scheduled from October 3 to October 13. The third phase, at the state level, will take place from October 25 to October 28. Ashok Koul further elaborated that the campaign, launched by PM Narendra Modi on August 27, involves collecting soil from 7,500 development blocks across the country. This soil will be used to construct an “Amrit Van” in Delhi, commemorating freedom fighters and martyrs. Several blocks from J&K will contribute their soil, symbolically transported in a ‘kalash’ (urn) to their headquarters in Jammu before being sent to Delhi. He urged party functionaries to ensure the campaign resonates well in rural areas and encouraged everyone to participate in this initiative that transcends caste and community boundaries while being rooted in the spirit of nationalism. The “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign stands as a tribute to the devotion of our soldiers and a testament to the unity that defines the fabric of the nation. |
