JAMMU, Aug 30: Raksha Bandhan, a cherished Indian festival that honors the bond between brothers and sisters, was embraced with enthusiasm at Rich Harvest School. The occasion epitomizes the unique and treasured relationship shared by siblings, reflecting love, unity, and trust.
In a spirited commemoration, Rich Harvest School orchestrated a series of activities that exuded the spirit of Raksha Bandhan. A special assembly became the stage for students to showcase their talents, with dances, songs, and enlightening presentations. Role plays and speeches provided historical context, underscoring the festival's significance. As part of the festivities, a Rakhi Making competition was held on August 30, 2023. Students exhibited their creative prowess by crafting a splendid array of colorful Rakhis, each a testament to their imaginative flair.
These Rakhis, spanning a spectrum of designs and hues, symbolized the profound connection between siblings. Adding an adventurous twist, an Inter-House Kite Flying Competition took place, captivating onlookers and staff alike. Decorated kites took to the sky, representing each student's house, and painted the heavens with a palette of colors. The sight of vibrant kites soaring high, competing valiantly against the wind, was a spectacle that left a lasting impression.
Congratulating the winners, Ms. Anita Bhatia, the Head of the Institute, lauded their achievements and urged them to continue engaging in such activities to refine their talents and bolster their self-assurance.
