Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 30: The recently concluded Jodhamal Youth Conclave (JYC) brought together approximately 300 like-minded student-leaders with a global perspective and extensive knowledge of geopolitics. The event provided a platform for these young minds to engage in discussions, deliberations, and debates on both national and international issues. JYC, a 3-day conclave, was organized entirely by students, for students, and with students. The Valedictory Function of JYC welcomed Vikrant Kuthiala as the chief guest and Anandita Kuthiala as a special guest. In its 6th edition, JYC saw participation from ten elite schools in North India. Prominent boarding schools like Mayo College Girls' School, Ajmer, Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, and Welham Boys' School, Dehradun, joined other leading schools from Jammu & Kashmir. The theme for this year's JYC was "Bridging the World, One Conference at a Time." The conclave featured six committees, each with its own agenda. These committees engaged in rigorous debates and diplomatic discussions, dissecting and exploring their respective agendas thoroughly. To counter the intellectual intensity, the students enjoyed social events and dine-outs. The winners of JYC'23 were honored with awards for their exceptional performances. The Best Delegate Awards were presented to Ria Devika Bhasin, Medhaj Pathania, Atharva Agarwal, Moksha, Siddhartha Veer Sawhney, Harshini Wanchoo, and Yagyasaini Bhat. The Outstanding Delegates Awards went to Aarav Handoo, Pradnya Shavan, Sudaksh Raina, Nitika, Japanjot Singh, Nitya Agarwal, and Chhavi Singh. Welham Boys' School, Dehradun, proudly took home the Overall Outstanding Delegation Trophy, while Modern School, Barakhambha Road, New Delhi, secured the prestigious Overall Best Delegation Trophy. The Jodhamal Youth Conclave (JYC) concluded with a formal closure declaration by the Secretary General of JYC'23, Aarya Mahajan. |
