Samba police produces challan against 8 notorious thieves | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Sept 1: In a significant development in the fight against theft and criminal activities, the Samba Police, under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Benam Tosh, has successfully produced a challan in the court of law against eight notorious thieves and receivers of stolen property. This action stems from a theft case reported by the construction company NH-44 "MCCS Infra Pvt. Ltd," registered at Police Station Samba through Police Post Supwal. The incident dates back to June 30, 2023, when a written complaint was filed at Police Post Supwal by Rakesh Kumar Dubey, HR Manager of Construction Company NH-44 "MCCS Infra Pvt. Ltd." The complaint detailed the theft of iron plates from a construction site. Responding promptly, the police initiated an investigation and registered a case under FIR No. 162/2023 u/s 379 IPC at Police Station Samba through Police Post Supwal. During the course of the investigation, the police apprehended eight individuals involved in the theft and successfully recovered the stolen items. The accused, against whom the challan has been presented in the court of law for judicial determination, are as follows: Umesh Pangotra s/o Chander Mohan r/o Vijaypur district Samba, Manish Khajuria s/o Mahesh Raj r/o Bara tehsil Vijaypur district Samba, Randeep Singh s/o Kuldeep Singh r/o Baria tehsil Vijaypur district Samba, Varinder Sharma s/o Om Parkash r/o Moutlian Kalan district Samba, Sawan Manjotra s/o Tajinder Manjotra r/o Vijaypur district Samba, Rahul Manjotra s/o Baljeet Kumar r/o Vijaypur district Samba, Joginder Paul s/o Kanthu Ram r/o Samba and Manohar Lal s/o Kanthu Ram r/o Samba Following a thorough investigation, the police closed the case and produced the challan as the offense was proven against the aforementioned eight thieves and receivers of stolen property. The challan was presented in the court of Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Samba for judicial determination. The investigation was diligently conducted by ASI Balbir Kumar under the supervision of SHO Police Station Samba Rajeshwar Singh, DySP Garu Ram, and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. The successful outcome of this case is a testament to the intensive drive against thieves initiated under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Benam Tosh.
