Jammu, Sept 5: The fourth battalion of Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP) organized impressive function at Chani Himat here on the occasion of Teachers Day, a statement said. It said that the function was organized under the overall supervision of Ashok Kumar Sharma , JKPS, Commandant of the battalion , Parveen Sharma , Director S R college of competitions, Prof ( Retd) Diwakar Singh, Parshotam Sharma, IPS, Retd SSP, Kartar Singh ( Retd. Lect) H S Gill ( Retd Dysp) . Rahul Sharma, Chairman Club Construction company, Choudhary Hussain Wafa (social activist) graced the occasion as chief guests. Parents of some officials were also present as special guests. Inspector Shashi Kant Raina delivered the welcome address. All the prominent guests who attended the function spoke on the occasion and threw light on the role of teachers in shaping the life of students who are the cornerstone of the society and the nation. Ashok Kumar Sharma, commandant of the battalion hailed the role of teachers and shared his personal experiences as a student and as a teacher. Head Constable Rajesh Virdhy , W/ Sgct Shahida Akhter, Follower Showkat Ali , Follower Vinod Kumar, Follower Sushma Devi also enthralled the audience with their performances. Sgct. Dimple Billowria and Sgct Anita Sharma anchored the programme . Deputy Commandant Pawan Kumar presented vote of thanks. All the guests were presented with Momentos and suitable cash reward was handed over to two students Tania Bharti and Rythem Singh, who also performed in the programme. |
