Jodhamal excels at Doon school model united nations 2023

Jammu, Sept 5: In a remarkable showcase of talent and diplomacy, Jodhamal School has once again secured its place in the spotlight at the prestigious Doon School Model United Nations (DSMUN) 2023. The event, spanning three intensive days witnessed fervent debates and thoughtful deliberations by delegates from across the globe.
The Chief Guest in the Inaugural Ceremony was Mr Rohan Chand Thakur, a distinguished IAS Officer while the Chief Guest in the Valedictory Ceremony was Mr Ovais Sarmad.
With a lineup of 11 Committees that encompassed contemporary, historical, and futuristic agenda, the DSMUN 2023 provided a platform for insightful discussions on global issues.
The three day Conference was attended by the delegates from the most prestigious schools in India and abroad such as Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun, Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun, Mayo College, Ajmer, Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer, The Daly College, Indore,
The Emerald Heights International School, Indore, Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, YPS Patiala, The British School, New Delhi etc .
Jodhamal Public School is the only school from J&K that is invited from this region, and has been attending this prestigious Conference for the last 8th years.
The Jodhamal participants compete with the students of the best schools across the globe participating in DSMUN every year, and excel in their respective Committees.
This year in DSMUN 2023, among the participants, a team of nine distinguished delegates emerged as outstanding representatives of Jodhamal School. Raza Ali, Devisha Gaur, Pavit Singh, Krish, Puneesh Manhas, Vitasta Zutshi, Abhiraj Suryavanshi, Ahmed Ayaan, and Amay Gupta showcased their eloquence and diplomacy on this prestigious stage. They were escorted by Ms Mubeen Butt and Rajan Bakshi.
Their exceptional performance led to well-deserved recognition in the Prize Giving Ceremony, proving once again Jodhamal’s reigning supremacy in MUN-circuits.
Puneesh Manhas and Amay Gupta’s exemplary contributions earned them the Special Mention Awards in their respective Committees. Their dedication to research, persuasion, and strategic negotiation was evident, as they tackled complex global challenges with grace and acumen.
Commending their achievements, Mr Nandan Kuthiala, the esteemed Trustee of Jodhamal School, Arati Kuthiala, Director of the School, Mr Girish Kumar, Principal, and Shefali Sanwal, Vice Principal extended their heartiest congratulations to the students, and emphasized that their success not only reflects the school’s legacy of excellence but also sets a high standard for the aspiring diplomats of the future.
