| GDC Kalakote celebrates Teachers' Day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 6: Teachers' day was celebrated with great exuberance at Govt. Degree College Kalakote premises on 5th of Sep 2023 under the guidance of Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora. All the staff members and students of different semesters participated with great enthusiasm. At the beginning of the session, a formal welcome address was presented by Komal (Semester 5th). Principal Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora highlighted the background of the Teacher's Day celebration and praised the second President of India and recipient of Bharat Ratna, Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishanan whose birth anniversary is celebrated every year as Teachers' Day. She explained the importance of teacher in student's life and also talked about different opportunities available in the field of education for the students. She encouraged the students to follow the teachings of the great leader, philosopher, teacher, scholar and political figure. At the end a formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Mohd Ali Shahbaz. |
