DC kick-starts construction of Karool to Doori link road

KISHTWAR, Sept 6: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today marked a significant milestone as he officially inaugurated the construction of the Karool to Doori Link Road. The ceremony, attended by local Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs), prominent community members, and PWD officials, signified a crucial step towards improving connectivity in the area.
This proposed link road will stretch from Km 23 of the PMGSY road in Karool to the village of Doori Sarthal, promising improved accessibility for the local population. Among the dignitaries present were Sarpanch Karool, V P Singh Rana; Tehsildar Kishtwar Muneeb Umar, Executive Engineer PWD, Ravinder Kumar; Junior Engineer Manish Kumar, alongside other representatives from executing agencies and contractors.
The Executive Engineer PWD provided insights into the project, sharing that the construction of this 2.5-kilometer link road comes with an estimated cost of 444.00 lakhs. Funded through NABARD RIDF XXVIII, this endeavor will greatly benefit approximately a thousand residents in the surrounding areas, fostering improved connectivity and accessibility.
During interactions with the local residents, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav extended his congratulations and emphasized the government's unwavering commitment to enhancing public welfare through better connectivity. He highlighted the multitude of connectivity projects underway in the district, assuring that dedicated efforts are being made to ensure their timely completion, thereby delivering essential benefits to the public.
In response, the local community and PRIs expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the district administration of Kishtwar and the government for this vital infrastructure development. This project reflects the administration's dedication to improving the lives of its citizens by facilitating enhanced connectivity and reducing the hardships faced by commuters.
