JAMMU, Sept 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) successfully concluded its first-ever 7-day personality development workshop for women, primarily homemakers. The workshop, which aimed to empower and uplift women, took place at Abhinav Theatre in Jammu. Bharat Singh, JKAS Secretary of JKAACL, welcomed the participants and congratulated them on the successful completion of the workshop. The event saw the active participation of women from urban and rural areas. Mr. Singh also commended the various experts who contributed to the workshop, covering disciplines such as music, dance, theater, yoga, and meditation. He expressed the importance of such innovative activities, which provide women with a platform to learn and embrace the fundamentals of performing arts. These skills not only enrich their lives but also equip them to face the challenges of modern life while managing daily stress. Mr. Singh explained the concept of personality, emphasizing that it encompasses enduring characteristics and behaviors that define an individual’s unique adaptation to life, including traits, interests, values, self-concept, abilities, and emotional patterns. The workshop participants showcased their talents with scintillating performances in music, Dogri dance, short plays, and yoga demonstrations. Several prominent experts delivered lectures and provided training during the workshop, including Dr. Jasmeet Kour, Dr. Kamal Sharma, MS Sushma Gupta, MS Saba, Advocate Supriya Chouhan, Dr. Sumita Bhat, and Dr. Sudhir Mahajan from JKAACL. Advocate MS Supriya Chouhan, the guest of honor, appreciated the women’s performances and applauded JKAACL’s initiatives. Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, SDI and incharge of the Divisional Office in Jammu, delivered the vote of thanks. The workshop participants, including Ms. Ujala Sultan, Rashpreet Kour, Urja Singh, Rabia Sharma, Atinder Kour, Aarti Samyal, Aradhana Jamwal, Kuljit Kour, Sandeep Kour, Lalita Sharma, Sunita Manhas, Kulveer Kour, Sharishta Devi, Manju Devi, Kiran Kachroo, Ruchi Gupta, Preya Devi, Suksham Guleria, Diksha Vaid, and others, were recognized for their outstanding performances and received appreciation certificates.
