Jammu, Sept 14: On the call of the Traders Federation Ware House Nehru Market (Regd.) Jammu Traders in large numbers took out Mashal Rally (candle march) from Federation office to Bikram Chowk to pay tributes to the Army Col. Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish, and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Himayun Bhat who attained Martyrdom in Kokernag, Anantnag Attack on Wednesday.
Traders while passing through main road ware house raised slogans against Pakistan and the anti-national forces who are behind this attack.
With thunderous chants that reverberated defiance, traders rallied to express their rock-solid support for the fearless soldiers who laid down their lives in the service of their nation. Speaking fervently to the media during the protest, Mr. Deepak Gupta, President Traders Federation Ware House Nehru Market (Regd.) Jammu voiced searing concerns about Pakistan's direct complicity in providing sanctuary to terrorists through its sinister intelligence agency, ISI. Mr. Deepak Gupta strongly condemned Pakistan for carrying on the policy of enmity against India and harboring terrorists on its soil and using them to threaten life of the people & security forces in JKUT. He further emphasised that the recent attack was a blatant attempt to derail peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
He underscored that the sacrifices made by these unflinching soldiers in the face of a barbaric terror attack would forever be etched in the nation's memory.
He demanded that the UT administration should immediately identify the cowardly terrorists so that they are brought to justice. He demanded that law and enforcement agencies should also conduct a security review to ensure foolproof security in Kashmir Division and Rajouri Poonch districts of Jammu Division.
Among those who were present in the Mashal Rally were Munish Mahajan, Sr. Vc. President, Sham Lal Langer, General Secretary, Vishal Gupta, Secretary of the Federation.
