JAMMU, Sept 15: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) celebrated the arrival of the incoming batch of 2023 with a week-long induction ceremony. This grand event, which kicked off on a Friday morning, signifies the start of a cherished tradition at YCET. The induction ceremony aims to empower and inspire fresh faces embarking on their academic journey at this prestigious institution.
Known for its commitment to excellence in education, the management of YCET spared no effort in ensuring a warm welcome to the future trailblazers of technology and innovation. The week-long induction ceremony, held on the expansive YCET campus, serves as a comprehensive introduction to every aspect of the students' academic life. It covers everything from the intricacies of the curriculum to extracurricular activities, placement opportunities, and the unique YCET experience, promising an enlightening experience for all attendees.
The YCET induction ceremony is thoughtfully designed to equip the batch of 2023 with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their academic pursuits. It offers a holistic understanding of YCET's ethos, values, and the abundant opportunities it offers.
Throughout the week, students will delve into their academic journey, gaining insights into cutting-edge courses, research prospects, and the dedicated faculty who will guide them along this enlightening path.
Beyond the academic and professional aspects, the induction week provides students with an opportunity to build connections with their peers, faculty, and alumni, fostering a sense of community at the heart of YCET's identity.
The first day of the event was dedicated to orienting the new generation of aspiring engineers towards the path they have chosen.
The Inaugural Session featured the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, Saraswati Vandana, and the presentation of bouquets to esteemed guests. Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean of Academics at YCET, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and incoming students, offering words of encouragement for their future careers. He emphasized the college's unwavering commitment to elevating the academic standards of its students.
Er. Loveneesh Talwar, Head of the Electrical Engineering department at YCET, delivered a presentation introducing students to the college. He covered various aspects of the college, including Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), internships, placements, industrial visits, workshops, and on-campus excursions. He also highlighted the establishment of the IoT Lab as part of the program.
The event also included the felicitation of YCET's proud alumna, Insha Khalid (JKAS), by the esteemed chairman, JGEI. Insha Khalid shared her journey with the new students, emphasizing that YCET had not only equipped her with knowledge but also instilled in her the confidence to pursue her dreams. She highlighted that YCET had not merely prepared her for a job; it had prepared her for life.
Er. Vidhi S. Singh Jamwal, Chairman of YCET, graced the inaugural function as the chief guest. In his address, he warmly welcomed the students, embracing them as the newest members of the YCETian family. He encouraged students to make the most of their time at the institution and strive to achieve their desired life goals.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Er. Rajneesh Magotra, HOD of the Civil Engineering Department.
