Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 15: Indian Red Cross Society, J&K is continuously conducting First-Aid Training programmes for the employees of different Institutions, drivers and general public. Likewise, today the four days First-Aid Training programme concluded i.e on 15th September, 2023. The training was given by Dr. Kavita Nijhon & Dr. Aasia Noor, Medical Officers Red Cross assisted by Smt. Kanchan Devi and Sh. Ravi Kant Magotra, Sup. Pharmacists. Theoretical classes covered topics like First-Aid Kit, wounds, bandages, types of fractures, bleeding emergencies, burns etc. Practical of choking, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), transportation of injured patients with and without head and spine injury were done. Besides this, a special Guest lecture was arranged for the students by Manjari, State Head, Childline India Foundation (CIF) on Mediation and Mental Health and also briefed on how Childline works for the protection of rights of all children aged from 0 to 18, which is an initiative for rescuing and assisting children in distress. Their particular focus is on all children in need of care and protection, especially the more vulnerable sections, including: Victims of child sexual abuse. In the end, Exam was conducted by Dr. Kavita Nijhon, Medical Officer, & Sh. Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist, Indian Red Cross Society, J&K UT. During the last session, Rohit Khajuria, General Secretary, IRCS J&K UT congratulated every participant for successfully completing their training and Provisional Certificates were also distributed to them. |
