Amit envisages IIM Bangalore eGov lessons replication in Ladakh | | | Early Times Report
Leh (Ladakh), Sept 20: Amit Sharma, Secretary Information Technology Department, Union Territory of Ladakh is envisaging to implement top eGovernance solutions learnt from recently concluded week-long Elite Programme at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore which was organised by National eGovernance Division (NeGD) for select few IT leaders of the nation in golden year of establishment of this top Management School. Secretary IT Ladakh Amit Sharma, who has already super-specialised in eGovernance domain from IIM Indore almost a decade ago, has successfully implemented lot of eGovernance models in J&K recently like online eOffice, online services for citizens, digitization of Land Records, etc and now, he is leading IT mission in the UT of Ladakh wherein substantial progress is going on multiple fronts. The dynamic administration of UT of Ladakh led by Lieutenant Governor Brig (Dr) B.D Mishra (Retd) and Advisor Dr Pawan Kotwal have a strong resolve to ease out provisioning of services to the public of Ladakh in a transparent and smart manner which is possible with the usage of technology and IT tools. Secretary IT Ladakh Amit Sharma learnt lot of solutions like application part of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and even Web Solutions which shall help in reaching out to last mile users sitting even near to China borders. The senior leadership programme is eGovernance has been an exclusive initiative of Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India which is aimed to create champions of eGovernance in all states and Union Territories as a part of ongoing Digital India mission wherein Amit Sharma led UT of Ladakh from the front as it’s IT Secretary and gathered lot of useful information to be replicated in Ladakh which is the need of the hour. |
