Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 21: In honor of the revered Mahatma Gandhi and his principles of truth and non-violence, the Department of Commerce at Government College for Women, Bhagwati Nagar, organized a thought-provoking Book Reading Activity as part of the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations. This event, held under the patronage of Dr. Meeru Abrol, Principal of the college, aimed to engage students in a meaningful exploration of Gandhian philosophy through the literary works of the great leader. Gandhi encouraged readers to conduct similar experiments in their own lives to seek truth. In "All Men Are Brothers," Gandhi stressed that non-violence is not solely for saints and sages but is a universal law applicable to all. He contrasted non-violence with the brute force of violence, highlighting its significance for humanity.
