Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Jammu region hosts 34th Youth Parliament Competition in Jammu

JAMMU, Sept 21: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Jammu region organized the 34th Youth Parliament Competition, which was hosted by KV No.1, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The event saw the participation of six Kendriya Vidyalayas from Jammu & Kashmir, including KV Srinagar, KV Jyotipuram, KV Miran Sahib, KV Kathua, KV CRPF Bantalab, and KV No.2, Jammu Cantt. The occasion was graced by Former Member Of Legislative Council (EX MLC) Ravinder Sharma Advocate, who served as the chief guest.
The 34th Youth Parliament Competition, organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Jammu region, took place in Jammu, with KV No.1, Gandhi Nagar, serving as the host school.
Ravinder Sharma Advocate, a former Member Of Legislative Council (EX MLC), was the Chief Guest for the event.
The participating Kendriya Vidyalayas, through their students, assumed various roles resembling parliamentarians, ministers, and speakers, engaging in debates and deliberations that mirrored the functioning of a youth parliament.
The competition recognized and awarded schools that exhibited exceptional performance, and it also honored six outstanding performers from each school.
During his address, Ravinder Sharma congratulated Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Jammu and the host school for organizing an exemplary competition that nurtures leadership qualities in the youth, who are the future leaders of the nation.
Sharma emphasized the importance of instilling leadership qualities and providing comprehensive knowledge about the functioning of democracy, particularly in a country like India, known as the largest democracy globally.
He commended the participating students as the finest and most talented products of their respective schools, destined to become enlightened citizens and excel in their chosen fields of endeavor.
The Youth Parliament Competition not only showcased the talent of young students but also provided them with a platform to learn about democracy and leadership. It encouraged the development of leadership qualities and a deeper understanding of the democratic process among the youth, contributing to their growth as responsible and informed citizens.
The 34th Youth Parliament Competition hosted by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Jammu region served as a significant educational and leadership-building event, fostering a sense of civic responsibility and nurturing the potential leaders of tomorrow's India.
